H. A. Gade
He was born on 19th August 1917 in Talegaon Dashasar, Maharashtra and died on 16th December 2001.
Hari Ambadas Gade graduated in science in 1938 from the University of Nagpur, and enrolled the following year at the Nagpur School of Art as a casual student. He finished his Diploma in Art in 1949 and a Masters in Art in 1950. He was one of the six founder members of the Progressive Artists' Group and remained a member until the group was dissolved in 1956. He won a gold medal at the annual exhibition of the Bombay Art Society in 1956. He also exhibited at Basle in 1951 and 1956 and in Venice in 1957.
